Letchworth Garden City – Hertfordshire, United Kingdom – October, 2018

Letchworth Garden City is where our friend Greg lives, part of the time, most of the time he lives in Hua Hin Thailand with his lovely wife Voom 😊 Letchworth is where our trip to the UK started and finished. It was the world’s first Garden City founded in 1903. The land used was purchased by the Quakers who intended to farm the area and build a Quaker community. They also say that they have the first round-a-bout in the UK.

Greg’s lovely home in the UK

I have not seen these online order pick up lockers before, how handy is that?

In the evening we went to a great pub near Greg’s house.

During our stay, Greg gave us a little concert – he plays guitar fantastic!

We went out one night to the local hotel for a “carvery” dinner. As you can see it’s all about carved roast beef, turkey, and pork…not to mention the biggest yorkeshire puddings I have EVER seen!!

We loved our visit here, it was a great base for us and it was close to London which made it easy to go see the sights there. Many thanks to Greg and Voom for hosting us for our first time in the UK 🙏 We already miss Greg’s great breakfast of french press coffee, grapefruit already cut in sections for us, and those awesome crumpets! Best B&B all around 👍

Where we stayed: Gregory James (our good friend) B&B 👍👍
