In search of the China Beer Minute – Part 3 X’ian

Heading into X’ian I was determined not to make the same mistake I made in Beijing. I was finally going to see Emperor Qin Shihuang’s Terracotta Army and if there was an opportunity to have a beer with them, I was going to damn it! Unfortunately they did not serve beer inside the Mausoleum site so I wasn’t able to have a drink with the 6000 or so, 2000 year old warriors. (Would have been cool though).

On our last night in X’ian we bought tickets to a Tang Dynasty cultural show that I was sure would be a great place to enjoy my  first, real China “Beer Minute”. The venue was awesome, the dumpling dinner was amazing, the performance was incredible, but this random Bloke from the UK kept chatting Tammy up (even bought her beer) and it was too much of a distraction for me to want to have  a “Beer Minute” here. Oh well, I still have a couple more weeks in China, I’m sure there will be plenty of opportunities in the days ahead.
